The experience of an ultra-smooth, medium-dark roast has brought us full circle to our culinary roots. Viennese-roast coffee pairs perfectly with chocolate and also makes a very rich espresso with a light-golden crema.
Created for our signature Dilettante Mocha Café espresso, the Hapsburg is an elegant blend that is never bitter or acidic.
Master Coffee Roaster and Chocolatier, Dana Davenport, named this blend after his Grand Uncle Julius’ most famous patron, the last great Hapsburg emperor, Franz Joseph I.
Third-generation chocolatier, Dana Davenport, began roasting his own luxurious coffee blends in the late 1970s upon the founding of Dilettante Chocolates. He created them specifically to complement his hand-crafted truffles and rich chocolate used in our signature Dilettante mochas. Today Dana sources beans from specialty plantations around the globe to create distinctive blends that deliver ultra-smooth coffees and espressos to enjoy either with or without chocolate.
We love Hapsburg blend
Do love good quality coffee! Was ‘hunting’ for a best option for a long time. Got it, thanks to Dilettante Chocolates! Your coffee place in Kent is very pleasant to relax with a good cup of coffee. My friends from Federal Way and other areas coming to have a meeting and to relax… thanks for such a fine job and excellent coffee!
I am a coffee snob, so is my wife. We picked up a bag of Dilettante Habsburg Viennese medium dark roast once, and we have not wanted anything else since! Bags of this amazing coffee are now our go-to gifts for our coffee-loving friends.
Brings back fond memories of Vienna, home to many of the finest roasters and tastiest coffees to be found.
